• To keep a record of the number and weight of lamps, small and large electro-appliances put on the market in the Slovak Republic

• To send in a monthly declaration regarding the above-mentioned recorded data

• To make sure that the reported data are correct, complete and true

• To allow an auditor to check whether the data reported based on the records are correct, complete and true, to provide all necessary information and cooperation

• To pay a monthly contribution for the electro-equipment put on the market in the Slovak Republic in the previous month

You can become an associate member of the EKOLAMP Producer Responsibility Organization if you are:

• producers and importers of lamps, luminaires and other small and large electro-appliances who put lamps, luminaires and other small or large appliances on the market in the Slovak Republic regardless of the sales techniques used including selling by means of electronic communication except for a person acting solely based on an agreement on financing and who meet the basic criteria required so that they can be allowed to sign the Agreement on Fulfilment of the Reserved Obligations in the EKOLAMP PRO.

• a foreign natural person or legal entity, if it delivers these electro-appliances to the Slovak Republic or if it delivers them directly to Slovak end-users by means of distant communication (delivery service) or electronic communication (electronic selling – e-business)

A producer (a person with a legal obligation – § 54a), regardless of the sales techniques used including sales based on an agreement made electronically, is

• every person who produces and sells lamps, luminaires and other small or large appliances under their own trademark

• also uses their own trademark to sell lamps, luminaires and other small or large appliances produced by others; is not considered a producer, however, if a different producer‘s trademark can be found on those lamps, luminaires and other small or large appliances, as stated above 

• imports or exports electro-equipment within the EU as a part of their business activities

• a foreign producer of electro-equipment  is one that has its seat or does business outside the territory of the Slovak Republic and sells electro-equipment directly to users in another EU country based on an agreement made electronically

Putting on the market is

• the moment when a lamp, a luminaire, a small or large appliance that has been produced or imported is offered for sale, distribution or use in one of the EU countries in return for payment or free of charge for the first time
